Test case listing views ​

The project test case list shows the same records in three views. The table stays as it was. List and board sit beside it.

Role: a team member who can see the project. Moving a board card and creating a test case require write access.

Steps ​

1. Open the project.
2. Open Test cases. The screen title is All Test Cases.
3. The suite tree is a panel on this page, not a separate application sidebar. It stays in place when you open a test case and come back.
4. Collapse the panel to a rail, or expand it again. The choice is stored in this browser for test cases.
5. Switch the view: Table, List, Board. Until a view is chosen, List opens. The last choice and its settings are stored in this browser for this listing, not separately per project.
6. Open View settings on List or Board. On Table, open Table view settings and use Fields to show or hide columns. That choice is stored in this browser and overrides the default hidden columns.

Suites panel ​

On List, View settings includes Suites panel: Left or Right.

Drag the inner edge of the expanded panel to change its width. The width is stored in this browser for test cases. A collapsed panel has no drag edge.

On Board the panel is hidden. It returns when you leave the board, including on the test case page.

Select a suite to load its test cases. Create a suite from the panel. The new suite opens in the list.

List ​

View settings for List:

• Group. The default group is the suite.
• Suites: Flat shows the full path in each group header. Nested indents child suites under the parent.
• Sort, density, and visible fields. Complexity and assignee start hidden.
• Preview width.

A row can open a preview beside the list. Drag the left edge of the preview to change the width. The width is saved for this view.

An empty field is not drawn. The list does not invent a last result for a test case that has no test run result.

Board ​

Columns are test_case_status values. Drop a card on another column to save the new status. The button on a column creates a test case with that status.

A card can open the same preview. Its width is saved separately from the list.

Selected rows ​

On Table, checked rows open an action bar in the header. Selected table rows
