Save and call a tool

Save and call a tool

A call is saved for a tool on a fixed snapshot. Another run writes a new result and does not change the previous one.

Role: a team member who can write in the project.

Prerequisites

  1. The server is added, the catalog is captured, and the snapshot is Fixed. Add a server
  2. The tool schema status is Captured.

Steps

  1. On the snapshot card, open a tool. Tools, resources, resource templates, and prompts have a go-to column.
  2. Click Save call.
  3. Enter Title.
  4. In arguments, send a JSON object. An empty string is allowed, for example { "message": "" }. If there are no required properties outside an array, the field already contains {}.
  5. Click Check JSON. An error is shown under the field. Success says the JSON is valid.
  6. Click Save. The call card opens.
  7. Click Call again.

The call card shows the request, the response, and Protocol revision. Another call adds a row on the History tab.

Save call is shown only when the snapshot is Fixed and the tool schema is Captured.
