Bug creation ​

Bug creation records a defect found during testing or review - alone from the listing, or linked from a failed test run result.

Role: a team member with write access to the project. A read-only member cannot create bugs.

Steps: from the listing ​

1. Open the project.
2. Open Bugs.
3. Click Add (or the equivalent create action).
4. Open the new row and set the Title.
5. Fill status, priority, severity, description, reproduction steps, and other fields on the details page.
6. Optional: upload screenshots on the Screenshots tab.

The bug is saved in the project. You can link it to a test case, test run result, or execution context next.

Steps: from a test run result ​

1. Open a test run result with status FAILED or another outcome that needs a defect.
2. Use the action that creates a bug linked to that result (as shown in the product).
3. Complete the bug fields on the details page.
