Test suite creation ​

Test suite creation places a new suite in the suite tree of a project.

Role: a team member with write access to the project.

Steps ​

1. Open Test cases in the project.
2. Optional: select the parent suite in the tree.
3. Create a new suite.
4. Enter the Name (and optional Description).
5. Confirm.

The suite appears under the selected parent, or at the root of the project tree.

Alternative paths ​

• Clone suite duplicates the suite and all cases inside it.
• Nest later by changing the parent suite on the suite details or in the tree.

Limits and notes ​

• A suite name can contain up to 250 characters.
• A suite description can contain up to 900 characters.
• An empty name is stored as new suite.
• Cases without a suite remain at the root of the project catalog.
